General Information

We, the team of Landgasthaus Hotel Hotel Bonn, take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the GDPR and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). Personal data includes, for example, names, addresses, email addresses as well as visited web pages or device information.

Using our website is generally possible without providing personal data. Where personal data (e.g., name, address, or email address) is collected on our pages, this is always done, where possible, on a voluntary basis. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your explicit consent. Service providers engaged by us receive personal data. These service providers are located exclusively within the European Union and are therefore also bound by the applicable GDPR.

Please note that data transmission on the Internet, despite SSL encryption (e.g., communication by email), may have security gaps. Complete protection of data from access by third parties is not possible.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy from time to time so that it always meets current legal requirements or to reflect changes to our services, e.g., when introducing new services. The new Privacy Policy will then apply to your next visit.

Server Log Files

When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes, among other things:

  • Date and time of the server request
  • Referrer URL
  • Type and version of the web browser
  • Operating system used
  • Domain name of your internet service provider
  • Request details and destination address
  • Data volume transmitted
  • Request status code

This is exclusively information that does not allow any conclusions about your person. Unlike many other websites, we store only pseudonymized IP addresses of website visitors. Instead of the actual IP address of the visitor (e.g., 123.123.123.123), an IP address such as 123.123.123.XXX is stored by default, where XXX is a random value between 1 and 254. It is no longer possible to establish a personal reference. This information is technically necessary to correctly deliver the content of web pages requested by you and is mandatory when using the Internet. Anonymous information of this kind is statistically evaluated by us in order to optimize our Internet presence and the underlying technology.

This data cannot be assigned to specific persons. This data is not merged with other data sources. However, we reserve the right to check this data retrospectively if we become aware of concrete indications of illegal use.

Cookies

Our websites use so-called cookies in part. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies help make our offering more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Cookies are small text files stored on your computer and saved by your browser. Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies.” They are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies (“persistent cookies”) remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser on your next visit.

You can set your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and to allow cookies only in individual cases, to exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Please refer to your browser’s help functions for how to configure these settings. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

SSL Encryption

The web pages of Landgasthaus Hotel Hotel Bonn use SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the browser’s address bar changing from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser bar.

If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Contact Form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, the information you provide in the inquiry form, including the contact details you enter there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and for any follow-up questions. We do not share this data without your consent. Note: According to the principles for the proper management and storage of books, records, and documents in electronic form and for data access (GoBD), the long-term archiving of digital business letters has been mandatory for companies since 01/01/2017. Documents considered business letters or tax-relevant are subject to the regulations for proper accounting—regardless of whether they are in digital or paper form—and must be stored in a tamper-proof manner for between 6 and 10 years.

Right of Access, Erasure, Restriction

You have the right at any time to obtain, free of charge, information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of the data processing as well as a right to rectification, restriction, or erasure of this data. For this and further questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time at the address given above.

Objection to Advertising Emails

We hereby object to the use of contact data published within the scope of the imprint obligation for sending unsolicited advertising and information materials. The operators of these pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited sending of advertising information, such as spam emails.

Protection of Minors

Persons under 18 years of age should not transmit personal data to us without the consent of their parents or legal guardians.

Liability for Links

Our website contains links to external third-party websites. We have no influence on whether these providers comply with the applicable data protection regulations.

Privacy Policy for Social Media

We do not currently use services such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc. on our website. We take the current discussion about data protection in social networks very seriously. It has not yet been conclusively clarified legally whether and to what extent all networks offer their services in compliance with European data protection regulations. We have therefore decided not to implement these on our website until the legal situation is clarified.

Legal Basis for Processing

Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing operations for which we obtain consent for a specific processing purpose. If the processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party—such as processing operations necessary for the delivery of goods or the provision of any other service—processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. The same applies to processing operations necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures, for example in cases of inquiries about our products or services. If our company is subject to a legal obligation that requires the processing of personal data—such as to fulfill tax obligations—processing is based on Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR. In rare cases, processing of personal data may be necessary to protect vital interests of the data subject or another natural person—for example, if a visitor were injured on our premises and, as a result, their name, age, health insurance data, or other vital information had to be passed on to a doctor, hospital, or other third party. Then processing would be based on Art. 6(1)(d) GDPR. Ultimately, processing operations could be based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. This legal basis applies to processing operations not covered by any of the aforementioned legal grounds if processing is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of Landgasthaus Hotel Hotel Bonn or a third party, provided that the interests, fundamental rights, and freedoms of the data subject do not prevail. Such processing operations are particularly permissible because they were specifically mentioned by the European legislator, who considered that a legitimate interest could be assumed if the data subject is a customer of the controller (Recital 47 sentence 2 GDPR).
